Increasing Sales and Profit Per Square Foot for a Leading Value Chain Retailer

Our client wanted visibility into consistently increasing sales and profit while also improving customers' in-store experience. 

Using SmartMap©, we identified and optimized unused store merchandise space in all the stores. We mapped all stores relative to categories and planograms and conducted analysis and audits of the planogram at the store level. We also developed optimization plans and executed these plans in select locations. Based on these plans, we created uncluttered stores with wider lanes for customers. 

Results:
The client witnessed an 18% increase in merchandisable space across the chain for targeted categories. Stores collectively also experienced a 4% increase in comparable-store sales.
