Process Optimization for a Major Value Chain Retailer

This client came to us with a big issue – new item cut-ins took 5-6 weeks to complete in their chain of stores. Though they used in-store personnel, they also had no visibility to the execution and were concerned about the perceived lack of execution. 

Our Solution:
Using SmartProject©, we planned and formalized their new item cut-in program. We developed a standardized executable monthly model with the surge to drive new item speed-to-shelf. We aimed to cut in 100-150 new items in 18,500 stores within seven working days with the new plan. 

Results:
This project met a 99.5% execution rate of the target within the window of seven working days. Currently, we continue to improve integration, scheduling, and optimization to drive faster execution.
